Phase 2 of the Coppermills W.T.W. scheme is now underway with the Powerrun site team currently installing the lower manifold section of the new Shaft D Pump Station pipework. Birse Coastal has recently awarded us a pipework supply and mechanical installation package as part of the £70-million Blackpool Sea Defences Scheme. The project comprises of 600/400 diameter discharge pipework fabrication and associated mechanical installation including 6 number Flygt type electro-submersible pump sets, valves and inlet penstocks for the newly constructed Intermediate and Manchester Square Pump Stations. Completion of the works is expected to be in December of this year.

Pipework is manufactured to BS534 and welders are coded to BS287/288 standards in both carbon and stainless steel materials.

Pressure Vessels are designed and manufactured in accordance with PD5500 Standards.

Welding techniques include SAW, MIG, TIG and MMA.

  • Carbon steel pipework with Fusion Bonded Epoxy and 2-Pack Epoxy coatings to meet the latest DWI Regulation 31 and WIMES Specifications for both drinking water and sewage treatment applications
